WASH Project for the Local Community in Awerial
Borehole drilling was combined with hygiene promotion, sanitation-facility construction, training for Water User Committees and hand-pump mechanics, and distribution of essential non-food items.
Featured work includes community water systems, borehole rehabilitation, solar pumping, storage, distribution points, pipelines and WASH interventions in Awerial, Yirol and Mingkaman.
These projects covered water access, sanitation, hygiene promotion, community management and practical training for local committees and technicians.
Selected records from PAPAN’s company profile and published case studies.

A solar-powered community water system combining pumping, two elevated 5,000-litre tanks, pipe distribution and tap stands serving Abuyung Trading Centre and the PHCC.

Four-tap collection points connected to the wider Abuyung system improved access at the trading centre and PHCC.

Solar-motorised pumping and connected pipework were monitored and supported to improve extraction and system performance.

Rehabilitation restored borehole functionality and improved access to water for more than 4,300 people across 717 households.

Pipeline installation connected source, storage and use points through a durable distribution network.

Support structures were developed at Abuyung PHCC alongside assessment of space for a small water-quality laboratory.
